Faith
The Grace of Not Knowing
There are moments when the map runs out. We stand at the water's edge with no promise but the next stone, no certainty but the quiet invitation to move.
Faith is not always a bright conviction. Sometimes it is simply the decision not to close the heart while we wait. It is the tenderness with which we hold unanswered questions, the willingness to keep breathing inside a season that has not explained itself yet.
I have learned that the not knowing is not a punishment. It is a doorway held open. What has not yet been revealed may be waiting until we are ready to meet it with softer hands.
So today, if you are standing where the path disappears into mist, you do not need the whole road. You need only enough light for the next honest step. Take it gently. The water will hold you.
