Courage

Holding Hope Gently

September 3, 2026 · Nia Alam Grace

Hope is often pictured as something triumphant. In truth, it is usually small and a little tired, the way a candle is small in a large room — and still, the room is no longer dark.

You do not have to feel certain to be hopeful. You only have to leave a little room for tomorrow to surprise you.

Hold it gently. Do not squeeze it into a promise it never made. Let it be the quiet companion that walks one step ahead and waits for you at the turning.
